Scarborough
The Scarborough War Memorial in Ontario was constructed in 1921, to commemorate the sacrifice made by their local men and women during the Great War of 1914-1918. Sadly, the advent of a Second World War saw the need to expand the charter to include the fallen of the 1939-1945 conflict; and then the Korean War. The memorial is located on Kingston Road in Scarborough. It was constructed from limestone and bronze. The inscription on the memorial reads:- "SCARBOROUGH CANADA - THEIR NAMES ARE HALLOWED IN THE LAND THEY LOVED AND THE GLORIOUS MAJESTY OF THE LORD OF GOD BE UPON US"
