  • Name: Entering SURNAME only should be sufficient to achieve a result. Initials only of first names, seperated by full stops may be entered. No spaces between the start of the Surname and the full stops: example: J.F.MCGRATH or C.H.TRAYNOR. Apostrophie must be entered e.g. O'REILLY
  • Serial Number: Search by serial number. This is always the best way to find a particular person, but bear in mind that sometimes for various reasons, a serial number may have been changed.
  • Country: Find all medals and militaria based on country
  • Corps: Search by Corps or Service only: i.e. Artillery, Mounted (this includes Cavalry & Lighthorse) Merchant Navy, Air Force, Armoured etc.
  • Unit Number: Enter the unit number ONLY - no other details. i.e. to find all items under the 10th Lighthorse Regiment - simply type in the number 10. If searching for a composite unit such as the 55/53rd Militia Battalion (Australian Military Forces) - simply type in 55/53. NOTE: a number only will yield results for ALL countries.

Enlisted on the 28th of September, 1915 with the 15th Battalion, AIF and embarked on H.M.A.T Commonwealth on the 28th of March, 1916 with the rank of 'Acting' Corporal. Reverted back to Private upon arrival Egypt on the 05/05/1916. Killed in action on the 11th of April, 1917 in the battle of Bullecourt. His brother Arthur was also Killed in Action (12/10/1916)

Enlisted on the 25th August, 1915 into the 9th Battalion and embarked on board the H.M.A.T Itonus from on the 30th December, 1915 from Brisbane. Won the Military Medal at Pozieres on the night of the 13th/14th August, 1916. Killed in action on the 12th of October, 1916. Rank of Lance Corporal at time of death, serving with the 49th Battalion. His brother Charles was also Killed in Action (11/04/1917)
