Bemboka

The War Memorial at Bemboka, which lies in the Bega Valley on the Snowy Mountains Highway. Approximately 36 kilometres west of Bega (between Bega and Nimmitabel) the village dates back to 1877 and her men who failed to return from the Great War would have been very sorely missed. A photograph of this memorial actually stands in one of the corridors of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra as an example of a country war memorial.
