Missing Medals

I am searching for the First World War medals (1914-1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal) of Transport Sergeant (later Company Sergeant Major) David SCOGGINS. He was a very early enlister into the 6th Infantry Battalion, AIF and was allocated the service number of 6. The First World War Embarkation Roll indicates that he boarded HMAT Hororata (A20) at port Melbourne on the 19th October, 1914. He served on Gallipoli appears to be a first day lander. He later served in France where he was wounded in action a number of times. He survived the war and returned to Australia. His next of kin was Ruby Evelyn SCOGGINS. Any assistance in helping my family to recover his missing war medals would be greatly appreciated.

My family are searching for the missing First World War Medals of Private Thomas Thorndale MACKAY. These missing medals, which consist of the British War Medal and Victory Medal have never been sighted by the family. It is thought that he may have disposed of them not long after returning from the Great War. The First World War Embarkation Roll indicates that he boarded HMAT Ayrshire (A33) on the 24th of January, 1917 at port Sydney. At this time of embarkation, he was a reinforcement for the 4th Pioneer Battalion, AIF (Australian Imperial Force). Any assistance in helping my family to ascertain the whereabouts of these missing war medals would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for any medals awarded to Pivate Leonard HICKMAN for service during World War One. His missing war medals consist of the 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal and the Victory Medal. According to the First World War Embarkation Roll, Leonard HICKMAN boarded HMAT Ulysses on the 10th May, 1915 from Port Melbourne. He attained the rank of Corporal and served with the 22nd Battalion, AIF. If you could help me to recover these missing war medals, I would me most grateful.

Our family has no idea what has come of these missing war medals, but we are hoping that they are safely in the hands of a collector who may consider selling them back to our family. This medal set was accompanined by the Gallipoli Medallion which was awarded to all Gallipoli veterans or their next of kin and depicts Simpson and the Donkey on one side and the Southern Cross on the other side of the medal. (My grandfather wrote away for it in 1967) They were last seen whilst he was alive in his home in Henley Beach South Australia. There was also a bullet in cotton wool in a small red box. Any assistance to help us to locate this Gallipoli Medallion and his missing war medals would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for the missing Second World War medals awarded to Private Thomas Vining RICE. The medals were sold in Perth by mistake and I would love to get them back for my mother! Thomas Vining RICE was born on the 25th April, 1923 at Sydney. According to the World War Two Nominal Roll, Thomas enlisted into the AMF (Australian Military Forces) on the 15th October, 1941 and did not discharge until the 22nd May, 1946. He was serving with the 47th Infantry Battalion at the time of discharge. His next of kin was listed as Leslie RICE. I am not sure exactly what medals he was awarded. But he should at the very least, have been awarded the 1939-1945 War Medal and the 1939-1945 Australia Service Medal. He may also have been awarded the 1939-1945 Star and the Pacific Star. I am willing and able to buy these missing war medals back from whoever has them in their possession.

I am currently searching for the missing war medals of Private Henry Allan McDOUGALL who served with the 26 Brigade. The missing war medals consist of the Africa Star, Pacific Star and the 1939-1945 Australia Service Medal. Henry Allan McDOUGALL was born on the 14th February, 1908 at Cobram in Victoria. According to the World War Two Nominal Roll, Henry Allan McDOUGALL enlisted into the AIF (Australian Imperial Force) on the 10th July, 1940 and discharged on the 20th April, 1945. His next of kin was listed as Vic CAULFIELD. Any assistance in helping me to locate these missing war medals would be very much appreciated.

I am searching for the missing Boer War medal which was awarded to Percy Brooke CLEMENTS. This missing medal is the Queen's South Africa Medal with two bars; the Transvaal bar and the Defence of Mafeking. Any assistance in helping me to locate this missing Boer War medal would be very much appreciated.

I am looking for any First World War medals, awards or memorabilia for my great grandfather; Private Christopher O'HARE who served with the 4th Battalion of the King's Liverpool Regiment. All of his war service medals are missing. According to the CWGC (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) records, he was was killed in action in France on the 19 May, 1915. As such, a Memorial Plaque (also colloquially known as a 'Death Plaque' or 'Dead Man's Penny' would have been commissioned in his name. He should also have been awarded the war medals:- 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal. I am not sure if he arrived in France before the end of 1914, so he may even have been awarded the Mons Star in lieu of the 1914-1915 Star. If anybody has any information regarding this, I would appreciate your help. Christopher O'HARE has no known grave and his name is commemorated on the memorial wall at Le Tournet Cemetery on the south side of the Bethune-Armentieres main road.

I am searching for the missing war service medals of Private Henry George Thomas FORDHAM. His service number was 1675. According to the First World War Embarkation Roll, Henry FORDHAM boarded HMAT Shropshire (A9) on the 20 August, 1915 at port Sydney. He served during the First World War with the 25th Infantry Battalion. Any assistance to help me recover these missing war medals would be greatly appreciated. He was entitled to the 1914-1915 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
