- Name: Entering SURNAME only should be sufficient to achieve a result. Initials only of first names, seperated by full stops may be entered. No spaces between the start of the Surname and the full stops: example: J.F.MCGRATH or C.H.TRAYNOR. Apostrophie must be entered e.g. O'REILLY
- Serial Number: Search by serial number. This is always the best way to find a particular person, but bear in mind that sometimes for various reasons, a serial number may have been changed.
- Country: Find all medals and militaria based on country
- Corps: Search by Corps or Service only: i.e. Artillery, Mounted (this includes Cavalry & Lighthorse) Merchant Navy, Air Force, Armoured etc.
- Unit Number: Enter the unit number ONLY - no other details. i.e. to find all items under the 10th Lighthorse Regiment - simply type in the number 10. If searching for a composite unit such as the 55/53rd Militia Battalion (Australian Military Forces) - simply type in 55/53. NOTE: a number only will yield results for ALL countries.

I have not seen my grandfathers medal engraved with his number on the back, #1201 for some time, plus a medal my husband's grandfather was awarded in the South of France, it wasn't a recognised medal, it was for a shooting competition, which I understand they held regularly. If anybody has any knowledge of where they could be, my family would very much appreciate hearing from you.
