R.F.GILMORE
Medal Type: WW2 - Australian Trio (Pacific Star)
Service No: SX18740
Unit No: 2/10
Corps/Service:
Infantry
Country: Australia
I am searching for the Second World War Medals of Private Richard Francis GILMORE. The medals were still in the original box as posted to the recipents next of kin during the war. The address on the box is Tighers Hill in Newcastle, New South Wales (Australia). The medals were last seen in Yowie Bay, Sydney. NOTE:
As the medals were rarely removed from the box, I can not be sure if those depicted in the image are correct.
The recipient joined the 2nd AIF and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) records indicate that he was killed at Sanananda in New Guinea on the 19th of January, 1943.
F.CLARIDGE
Medal Type: WW1 - World War 1 Pair
Service No: 5123
Corps/Service:
Army Service Corps
Country: United Kingdom
I am searching for the First World War Medals of my grandfather, Private Fred CLARIDGE who served with the Bedfordshire Regiment which I believe had members of the A.S.C attached. Or, he was a member of the Army Service Corps and was attached to the Bedfordshire Regiment. Subsequently, either unit could be inscribed on his medals. He may have had two service numbers, these being 5123 and 200793, so I have listed his medals under both service numbers. Any assistance in having these war medals returned to my family would be appreciated.

E.J.GUARD
Medal Type: WW1 - 1914-1915 Star Medal Trio
Corps/Service:
Country: Canada
I am searching for the First World War medals (1914-1915 Star, British War Medal & Victory Medal) awarded to Edward John GUARD. It's been quite a few years since I have seen these medals. I think there were 3 in total but cannot be sure, so I have listed the World War One trio stated above, which may not be correct. I don't remember what they were for. If any collector has the above medals, or any other type of war medal or military medal awarded to E.J. GUARD, I would certainly appreciate it if you could contact me.
M.MARSH
Medal Type: WW2 U.K. Combinations - U.K. Four - (France/Germany)
Unit No: 405
Corps/Service:
Artillery
Country: United Kingdom
I am searching for the Second World War Medals issued to Sergeant Morris MARSH. He possibly may have been issued a set of six medals for service in Europe - France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, however I have only listed the above medals based on his service on mainland Europe. He was attached to the 405 LAA Battery (Sergeant's Mess). Dad was in the Victorian Jewish Ex Servicemen’s Association, Landed on one of the American Invasion beaches on D Day and was also with the unit that liberated Bergen Belsen Concentration Camp. So his medals may be somewhere in a collection in Australia. If any collector has these medals in their presentation box with his name endorsed, I would be most grateful if you would consider their return to our family.
J.H.PULFORD
Medal Type: WW1 - World War 1 Pair
Service No: 5436
Unit No: 14
Corps/Service:
Infantry
Country: Australia
I am searching for the First World War medals (British War Medal + Victory Medal) awarded to John Henry PULFORD. The First World War Embarkation Roll indicates that he left Melbourne on the 4th of April, 1916 aboard HMAT Euripides. He served in France during WW1. He was injured in action twice, and on his return to Australia, married. His wife died in child birth, and we know that he was forced to sell his medals as they were the only thing of value that he owned, to pay for care of his children. We would love to know where his medals are, and if possible have them back, to add to his collection of 'bits and pieces' that he brought back from the war, for his great grandson.
K.E.BURT
Medal Type: WW2 - Australian Four (Pacific)
Service No: NX56118
Unit No: 2/19
Corps/Service:
Infantry
Country: Australia
We are looking for the war medals of my cousin, Corporal Kenneth Eric BURT. His service number was NX56118 and he was killed in action with the 2/19th Infantry Battalion during the battle for Malaya. He came from Lower Tarcutta in New South Wales and his details are mentioned on both the World War Two Nominal Roll and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission records. He was buried at Kranji War Cemetary in Singapore. If you could please help us to get these medals back, I would be very grateful. I have been told that one of his medals sold on ebay on the 2nd of March, 2010 (1939-1945 Australia Service Medal). If you purchased this medal and read this, would you please be kind enough to consider selling it back to our family. His 1939-1945 Star, Pacific Star and 1939-1945 War Medal are still missing. Thank you. Elsie Moses.
