Date of sale: 21 April 2008 Frontline Service Medal to Ernest Henry John CUMMINGS, born on the 14th of January, 1923 at Mareeba in Queensland. The World War Two Nominal Roll has him joining the Second AIF on the 09th of June, 1942 and discharging on the 05th of December, 1945. Posting on discharge was the 2/25th Australian Infantry Battalion. This medal features the 'crossed Lee-Enfield' rifles and was awarded to those soldiers who saw "front line" service.

The First World War Embarkation Roll has him leaving Melbourne on the 25th of September, 1916 aboard HMAT Shropshire. He returned to Australia in 1917 - discharged medically unfit.

37 Pattern waistbelt on issue to Private Walter Joseph HUNT, born on the 18th of August, 1909 in Sydney. His next of kin was Dulcie Hunt. The World War Two Nominal Roll has him enlisting into the Militia on the 13th of January, 1942 and discharging on the 15th of December, 1945. His posting on discharge was the 162 Australian General Transport. This belt has had the rear buckles removed. For sale to the family only on proof of relationship.

Was promoted through the ranks and transferred to the 45th Battalion. He was killed in action on the 07th of June, 1917. His parents were Timothy and Sarah Anne Ryan from Wellington in New South Wales.
