Advanced Search
- Name: Entering SURNAME only should be sufficient to achieve a result. Initials only of first names, seperated by full stops may be entered. No spaces between the start of the Surname and the full stops: example: J.F.MCGRATH or C.H.TRAYNOR. Apostrophie must be entered e.g. O'REILLY

- Unit Number: Enter the unit number ONLY - no other details. i.e. to find all items under the 10th Lighthorse Regiment - simply type in the number 10. Date of sale: 04 April 2008 World War One Bereavement card concerning the death of Sapper Oliver Ralph TESTER (the younger brother of George Russell TESTER who also died during the war) The First World War Embarkation Roll has him leaving Adelaide on the 02nd of September, 1915 aboard HMAT Anchises with the 10th Battalion. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records his date of death as being the 13th of August, 1918. At this time, he was with the 4th Div. Sigs, Australian Engineers.

Date of sale: 04 April 2008 World War On Bereavement Card concerning the death of Private George Russell TESTER. It appears that the First World War Embarkation Roll has incorrectly spelt his name (recording it as "TESLER") The Commonwealth War Graves Commission has his name correctly spelt and records his date of death as being the 02nd of June, 1917. He embarked on the 11th of January, 1916 with the 10th Battalion but is likely to have been transferred to the Pioneers during the restucture and forming of the 5th Division in Egypt. Tragically, his brother Oliver was also killed in action and both are subject of the same card.

Date of sale: 04 April 2008 World War Two Australian Service war medal to Private Samuel Lionel CUTTS of the 2/13 Field Ambulance. He was born on the 05th of April, 1919 at Fremantle in Western Australia. The World War Two Nominal Roll has him enlisting into the Second AIF, very early into the war. His service number WX393 is indicative of the fact that he signed up on the 07th of November, 1939. He served for the full term of the conflict, discharging on the 28th of August, 1945. His next of kin was recorded as Isobel CUTTS.
