Advanced Search

I wish to make contact with the family of Aircraftman 1 Charles Edmund GARDNER who, according to the World War Two Nominal Roll, enlisted into the RAAF on the 30th of January, 1945 and discharged on the 11th of October, 1945. He was born on the 11th of December, 1926 in Adelaide and his next of kin was listed as Charles Gardner. Information is also sought as to the whereabouts of any war medals that he may have been awarded. (pg 64)

Date of sale: 10 March 2008 World War One Photograph of Private James (Jim) CHINNOCK who, according to the First World War Embarkation Roll -was a Lighthorse reinforcement in September-November 1918. He left Sydney on the 02nd of November, 1918 - so obviously the war ended before he could be deployed. The whereabouts of his war medals are not known.

The World War Two Nominal Roll has him enlisting into the Second AIF on the 20th of July, 1940 and unfortunately, he died on the 10th of July, 1942. His next of kin was listed as Agnes Tait. The location of his war medals is not known.

The First World War Embarkation Roll has him leaving Adelaide on the 16th of December, 1916 aboard HMAT Berrima. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission lists his date of date as being the 02nd of June, 1918. At this time, he was serving with the Australian Machine Gun Corps.
