  • Name: Entering SURNAME only should be sufficient to achieve a result. Initials only of first names, seperated by full stops may be entered. No spaces between the start of the Surname and the full stops: example: J.F.MCGRATH or C.H.TRAYNOR. Apostrophie must be entered e.g. O'REILLY
  • Serial Number: Search by serial number. This is always the best way to find a particular person, but bear in mind that sometimes for various reasons, a serial number may have been changed.
  • Country: Find all medals and militaria based on country
  • Corps: Search by Corps or Service only: i.e. Artillery, Mounted (this includes Cavalry & Lighthorse) Merchant Navy, Air Force, Armoured etc.
  • Unit Number: Enter the unit number ONLY - no other details. i.e. to find all items under the 10th Lighthorse Regiment - simply type in the number 10. If searching for a composite unit such as the 55/53rd Militia Battalion (Australian Military Forces) - simply type in 55/53. NOTE: a number only will yield results for ALL countries.

DEKENAH served with the 1st South African Infantry during the Great War. As a result, he was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. The ebay listing number is 140577068920 and it is being offered as a "Buy It Now" Auction for $149.99 AUD. Relatives of Private J. DEKANAH may be seeking the whereabouts of these missing medals.

Second World War medals (1939-1945 Star, Pacific Star, 1939-1945 War Medal and the 1939-1945 Australia Service Medal) awarded to Serjeant At Arms William Geoffrey LUTON who was born on the 14th of December 1920, at Cammeray in Sydney. According to the World War Two Nominal Roll, William Geoffrey LUTON enlisted into the Second AIF on the 2nd of September, 1941 with the Service Number NX44155. He served with the 2/6th Armoured Regiment and based on this, it is possible that he took part in the first tank battle involving Australian armour at Papua New Guinea, the action taking place at Buna. He discharged from the AIF on the 21st of January, 1947. His next of kin was William LUTON.

Sadly, he was killed in action on the 11th of May, 1917 and his body was not recovered. His name is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
